Reopening Plan
We are happy to announce that we are able to start serving our patients once again! We have officially reopened in a reduced capacity as of Monday, May 4th. In order to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible, we will be instituting several changes including increased PPE and temperature checks, changes to office flow and reduced/prioritized patient scheduling.
Some of our policy changes are outlined below:
- We will be introducing appointment scheduling for ALL services, including glasses pick-ups, adjustments and shopping for glasses. This means that for the current time, there will be no walk-ins. Please call to make an appointment before coming in for any reason.
- All contact lens orders will be shipped to your home at no cost to you. Additionally, patients with recently expired contact lens prescriptions and no vision changes may be able order up to 6 months supply to be shipped to your home in light of the crisis.
- We ask that you come alone to your appointment. Call our office to discuss exceptions to this rule including if the patient is a minor or needs assistance. If you need a driver, we ask that the driver remain in the car during your appointment.
- Please come to your appointment wearing a face mask covering your nose and mouth. It is okay if this mask is homemade. (Children under age 2 should not wear a mask.)
- Unless you have sudden vision changes or eye pain, we ask that you delay making an appointment until you are symptom-free for 14 days. This includes waiting to schedule if you have recently traveled to a high-risk area such as New York. Symptoms of concern for COVID-19 include:
- Cough or shortness or breath
- Fever
- Loss of taste or smell
- General fatigue or muscle aches
- Our hours are changing to 9 am – 7 pm Monday and Tuesday, and 9 am – 5 pm Wednesday through Friday. We will no longer be open on Saturdays at this time.
We expect our call volume to be quite high at first, so please call back if our phone lines are busy or leave a message. Alternatively, you may email info@hamiltoneyecarecenter.com with non-urgent questions.
We appreciate your understanding during this chaotic time, and we are looking forward to serving you again!
