Dr. Andrea Walters Moorehead was born and raised in Hamilton, graduating from Taft High School in 1973. She graduated magna cum laude from Taylor University in 1977 and with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1980. She then went to the University of Houston College of Optometry for post-graduate work and as an associate clinical professor in the pediatrics clinic. After returning to Hamilton in 1988, Andrea worked part time while raising four children. She is certified as a therapeutic optometrist for the treatment of glaucoma and anterior eye diseases and is certified in pre- and post-operative care of LASIK refractive surgery and cataract surgery.
